Founded in 2009 by Dr. Lloyd Axworthy, former President of the University of Winnipeg, Spruce Catering was built on a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and ethical food practices.

We proudly partner with local farmers and producers, including Prairie Quinoa, DeRuyck’s Top of the Hill Farm, Tamarack Farms, and Wild Earth Farms, Bothwell Cheese, Nature's Farm, and more ensuring that our ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and sourced with care. By supporting local agriculture, we reduce our environmental footprint while strengthening Manitoba’s food economy.Our impact extends beyond our ingredients—we are dedicated to creating meaningful employment opportunities.

With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to seamless execution, Cristina leads our catering operations with expertise and passion. She oversees everything from planning and logistics to ensuring that each event reflects the high standards of Spruce Catering.
Purav Patel – Event Sales & Service Manager
From the initial consultation to the final toast, Purav is the driving force behind our client experience. Purav is WSET Level 2 certified, and is an absolute expert in mixology. His commitment to personalized service ensures that every event is thoughtfully planned, beautifully executed, and stress-free for our clients.
